This summer, I participated in Kindling Faith’s course on the Gospel of John, led by Rev. Dr. Allison deForest. It was more than study—it was fellowship, conversation, and spiritual spark. We explored John’s witness to Jesus, guided by Dr. deForest’s thoughtful teaching, and shared insights with fellow lay leaders, pastors, and seekers. The experience deepened my faith and connected me with a caring community. I highly recommend future Kindling Faith offerings—they truly kindle the spirit.

I have found ALL the Kindling Faith events that I’ve attended to be relevant, engaging, and well worth the time and cost to attend. I’ve attended quite a few in the past two years. I only wish I had the time to participate in all of their programs, because everything I’ve experienced has been a of great value to me in my ministry setting.

After attending numerous "Aging Grace-Fully" Kindling Faith events, I feel so grateful to have the opportunity to hear from successful published authors around the U.S. I love the informal author interviews and the Q & A that follows. Every session I have attended has been so inspiring, and I always end up purchasing the author's book!

I have attended many Kindling Faith learning opportunities over the last several years to fulfill my continuing education requirements. The variety and caliber of the programming is excellent and the cost is fair. I have found all programs I have attended (both in-person and on Zoom) to be valuable to me personally and in my ministry context. Martin and Amy have been great hosts and organizers—things run smoothly, and all are made to feel welcome. I highly recommend Kindling Faith offerings to anyone seeking to further their faith journey and support their ministry work.

The annual Wine, Cheese, and Chocolate (WCC) retreats are a wonderful opportunity to spend time away from everyday pressures and responsibilities and to just relax. Martin and Amy are always terrific hosts. Accommodations are taken care of. Meals are taken care of. The guest presenters are interesting. And the copious free time allow for de-stressing, laughing, sightseeing, and rekindling friendships. The copious wine, cheese, and chocolate are also greatly appreciated. We eagerly look forward to this Gettysburg getaway each summer.

Kindling Faiths Small and Mighty Church was a wonderful and life giving opportunity for me to be a part of. I love getting the emails about what Kindling Faith is doing next and am often jealous that I don’t live closer so that I could participate more!
